How much does a building inspection cost?+
Our fixed prices start at $595 for a pre-purchase building inspection. A practical completion inspection starts at $650. Full pricing — including size and travel loadings — is published on our Pricing page. No quote forms, no hidden fees.
Can I attend my inspection?+
Yes, and we encourage it. Most clients attend the final 30 minutes for a walk-through with the inspector. You'll understand the findings much better than from the report alone. Tell us in the booking and the inspector will expect you.
How quickly will I receive my report?+
Your report is delivered as a PDF within 24 hours of the inspection. If you have an auction or settlement deadline, tell us when you book and we prioritise accordingly.
Do I need a separate timber pest inspection?+
A building inspection to AS 4349.1 does not cover timber pests — termites, borers, and fungal decay are a separate scope under AS 4349.3. We are not currently offering timber pest inspections, so if you need one you will need to engage a licensed timber pest inspector separately.
What does a building inspection not cover?+
A visual inspection to AS 4349.1 does not include dismantling or destructive testing, inspection inside walls or under floor coverings, engineering certification, repair cost estimates, or compliance certification with the Building Code. Stating these limitations clearly is part of doing the job properly — and it protects you.
